The history of the CONTI Film Festival Tenis Cup dates back to 1999, when it was co-founded by Jiří Bartoška, President of KVIFF, and CEO of CONTI Bronislav Cienciala. Over the past 25+ years, the tournament has welcomed numerous prominent figures from the worlds of culture, business, and politics.

These undoubtedly include Přemysl Sobotka, Tomáš Berdych, Tomáš Šmíd, Martin Damm, Petr Korda, Karel Nováček, Petr Huťka, Ilie Nastase, Boleslav Polívka, Zlata Adamovská, Jan Koller, Roman Červenka, David Pastrňák, Pavel Zedníček, Filip Renč, Martin Dejdar, Jiří Krampol, Palo Habera, Zdeněk Merta, Marek Jankulovski and many others.

But the tournament is about more than just sport and entertainment—it carries a strong tradition of supporting charitable projects. Over the years, significant financial contributions have been made to various organisations, including the Tereza Maxová Foundation, the Plaváček Endowment Fund founded by Deana and Juraj Jakubisko, and the LA VIDA LOCA Endowment Fund.
